Communities
At Café Bom Dia, we believe that we have a responsibility to play a positive role in the communities in which we work.
That's why in 2003 we became a Child-Friendly Company (Empresa Amiga da Crianca), joining a national program across Brazil which seeks to eradicate child labor and promote the health and educational welfare of children and their families.
Through the program, Café Bom Dia provides financial and in-kind support to four social agencies in the Varginha, Brazil region:
- AMAR (Support Center for High-Risk Pregnancy) aims to reduce child mortality and improve maternal health
- Centro de Atendimento Interescolar (CEAI) provides free auxiliary education and healthy meals for children whose parents work outside the home
- FUVAE (Special Assistance Foundation of Varginha) assists children and adults with Down syndrome
- Vida Viva (Living a Life) is a hospice for cancer patients.
